Using our website

Please use our website lawfully and respectfully. All content on the site, including our words, photography, designs, illustrations, projects and branding, belongs to The Teabreak Project or is used with permission. Please do not copy or reuse it commercially without asking first.

We may update the website, products, prices and these terms from time to time.

Orders and payment

When you place an order, you will receive an email confirming that we have received it. This does not mean we have accepted it yet. We accept your order when we send confirmation that it has been processed or dispatched.

Occasionally, we may need to cancel an order before dispatch—for example, if there is a pricing error, an item is unavailable or we reasonably suspect fraud. If this happens, we will let you know and refund any payment taken.

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery costs are shown at checkout before you place your order.

We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Payment must be authorised before an order is processed.

Delivery

We currently deliver within the UK only.

Memberships and gift memberships include standard delivery. For one-off shop orders, standard tracked delivery is £5.15, or free when your order total is over £100.

First membership boxes and one-off shop orders are normally dispatched within 3–5 working days, unless the product page says otherwise. Ongoing monthly Teabreak boxes are normally dispatched on or around the 10th of each month.

Delivery dates are estimates rather than guarantees, but we will always do our best to keep you updated if there is a delay.

Please make sure your delivery address is correct. If you need to change it, contact us as soon as possible. We may not be able to make changes once an order has been packed or passed to our delivery provider.

If an order arrives damaged, appears to be missing or there is another delivery problem, please email us as soon as reasonably possible—ideally within 7 days—so we can investigate quickly. This does not affect your legal rights.

Teabreak memberships

Our current membership is £36 per month, including standard delivery. There is no minimum term.

Your first box is normally dispatched within 3–5 working days. Your recurring payment date, next renewal date and the total monthly price are shown at checkout and in your account.

You can pause or cancel future renewals through your account or by contacting us before your next renewal date. If a payment has already been taken and the relevant box is being prepared or has been dispatched, your cancellation will usually take effect from the following renewal. Your legal cancellation rights are explained below.

Membership contents change each month. Product photographs and descriptions are intended to give a clear feel for what you will receive, but small substitutions or variations may occasionally be necessary. We will not make a substantial change without a good reason.

Some membership boxes include food, drinks, candles, craft materials and small components. Please read the information included with your box, follow any safety instructions and supervise children appropriately.

Gift memberships and vouchers

Gift memberships are prepaid for the period shown on the product page. They are not rolling subscriptions and will not renew automatically at the end of the prepaid period.

Gift vouchers do not expire. Unused vouchers may be cancelled within 14 days of purchase, provided they have not been used.

Pre-orders

Some products, including seasonal boxes, may be sold on a pre-order basis. Payment is taken when you place the order, and the expected dispatch period will be clearly shown on the product page.

If we need to make a significant change to the expected dispatch date, we will contact you. If we cannot supply the item within a reasonable time, you may cancel for a full refund.

Returns and your right to cancel

If you buy online, you normally have 14 days from the day after your order is delivered to tell us that you wish to cancel. You then have a further 14 days to return the item to us.

To cancel, please email jenny@theteabreakproject.co.uk with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You can use the cancellation form at the end of these terms, but you do not have to.

Please return eligible items unused, with their original packaging where reasonably possible, to:

The Teabreak Project
Old Coach House
Goat Street
Haverfordwest
Pembrokeshire
SA61 1PX

You are responsible for the cost of returning an eligible item unless it is faulty, incorrect or damaged.

We will refund the item price and the cost of standard delivery within 14 days of receiving the returned item, or receiving evidence that it has been sent back. If you selected a more expensive delivery option, we will refund only the standard-delivery amount. We will use the original payment method unless we agree otherwise.

The usual right to cancel does not apply to:

  • Goods made to your specific requirements or clearly personalised for you
  • Goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly
  • Sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons once opened or unsealed

A handwritten name on a welcome or birthday item does not affect your rights. Any product that is genuinely personalised or made to your specifications will be clearly identified on its product page.

Faulty, incorrect or damaged items

Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights. Items must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality.

If something is faulty, incorrect or damaged, please contact us with your order number and photographs where helpful. We will look at the best solution with you, which may include a replacement, repair, partial refund or full refund.

Cancellations by us

We may cancel an order if we cannot fulfil it, if there has been an obvious pricing or product-description error, or if we reasonably believe there has been fraudulent activity. If we cancel, we will refund all money paid for the cancelled order.

Our responsibility

We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by us failing to meet these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that are not foreseeable or for business losses where you are buying as a consumer.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with an order or our service, please email jenny@theteabreakproject.co.uk. We will always aim to sort things out fairly and kindly.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you may also have rights under the mandatory laws of the part of the UK where you live.
